Issuance and use of software certificates (IDW PS 880).
The subject of our assessment – in line with the standard – is both the product and the manufacturer’s quality management system. The manufacturer can minimise the overhead for the assessment by using an appropriate quality assurance system.

The results are generally documented in a report.

The assessment can include the whole software package or individual modules.
The software manufacturer thus documents for its customers that its product has been correctly developed, and that quality is thus assured. Furthermore, the manufacturer offers its customers the added value of efficiently using the certificate within the framework of correctness assessments and of accordingly reducing the scope of the assessment (annual audit, external audit, internal audits).
